Carol Grossman
I purchased my first pure-bred dog who became a fast friend to my beach rescue mixed breed nearly 50 years ago. That relationship evolved and I grew to become a Breeder of Champion Great Danes, but quickly learned that my first love was professional handling.
I became an AKC licensed professional handler In 1974. I enjoyed a very successful handling career until I retired in 2002 to work for Nestlé Purina. My most significant achievement of my handling career was piloting my best friend “Gamble” the Great Dane to the #1 Breed spot.
When I joined Purina, I worked as the Western Area Manager, where I was responsible for the West Coast Dog Show Sponsorships. Amongst my most cherished responsibilities was the role I played with the Westminster Kennel Club managing Purina’s sponsorship of this most prestigious event. I finally retired in 2018 after 16 very exciting and enjoyable years with the company.
A logical evolution for the next chapter of my life is to continue my involvement in dogs and provide an exclusive pet care service. I am very experienced with caring for dogs and have a special intuition when it comes to dogs' needs. My background as a handler lends itself to really treating each dog as an individual and customizing their experience with me as a trustworthy caretaker that comes to stay as long as needed with hands-on interaction for the duration of my stay. I take it very seriously that my clients are relying on me to treat their pets as my own so they can enjoy peace of mind during their travel. In other words, this means I move in and essentially stay put to be with the animals in my care, outside of running a quick errand to get something I may need. My services probably correlate more to acting as a live-in nanny versus your typical dog or house sitter!
I sincerely look forward to getting to know you and your beloved pet and my main ambition is to create life-long friends (furry and otherwise). Can't wait to hear from you!

Long Term Care
If you have plans to travel or need extra support while moving, taking care of a loved one, or any other special circumstance that may arise, I am move-in ready to come pamper your pooch with lots of attention, love, and specialized care.
Short Term or Half-Day Care
If you need a half day visit to let your lovable companion blow off steam while you're at work or just need Fido to be kept busy for the morning, afternoon, or early evening, this is a great option. Take advantage of the typical 4 hour window break with me. Need something different? Just ask—anything is negotiable.
